closet

where is your heart
compassion
gentleness
kindness
where did you leave them?
on the closet floor, when you put on your whiteness?
in the dirty clothes, next to your humanity?
or did you give them away
when you bought your ill-fitting patriotism and religiosity?
you stink of unwashed cruelty
xenophobia
racism
sexism
and while you cry, "social justice warrior" and "send them back,"
the stains on your newly acquired self-righteousness
mark you unapproachable and disqualified
from entering the banquet halls
of heaven.
God has a dress code.
and you are ignoring it.
