stones

when god made stones
did he decide ahead of time
which ones were made for throwing
did he weigh each one for maximum impact
a stone for the whores 
a stone for the gays

or did he just set them down absentmindedly
and as he was drawing up his plans for creation
were they stolen
and tucked away under floorboards of fellowship halls
free to a good home
excuse me
free to a righteous home
preferably one without closets or contraception

is he looking for them now
and wondering why
he keeps finding all his children dead
and all his stones covered in blood
